A year 10 boy wrote the following when he was doing some work on pressure in gases:

“The molecules in a gas move around freely and rabidly.”

I caught the tail end of a conversation between a reception and Year 2 child:

Year 2: ”...condom.”

Reception: “No that’s not right, it’s comdot.”

Year 2: “No, silly me, I meant dot com.” P> PENNY PATTERSON

I was standing in front of the infants, introducing the topic I was going be talking about in assembly for the next few weeks.

“This half-term, our theme is going to be air,” I said. “Can anyone tell me anything about it?”

Darren’s hand shot up. “I know,” he shouted eagerly. “Lots of our class have got nits in it.”
