* Pupils were asked in a maths test to “show your workings”. One Year 3 pupil, trying hard to follow the guidelines, drew a picture showing himself working.

* Found in a boy’s Year 6 key stage 2 English writing SATs paper after it was returned from the external marker.

“The rusty window rattled like a vibrator.”

He got his level four.

* One pupil skipped our school in Uganda to have a tooth taken out. His mother’s note read: “Sorry, Mike cannot make it today because of his leaking mouth.”
