In a lesson on “water”, I prattled on far too long about evaporation, condensation, transpiration and respiration. Stupidly I joked about perspiration. As the children began to get restless, I tried to regain their attention with the question: “What causes dew?” The daydreamer at the back answered: “It’s when plants sweat.”
