Special needs wins millennium funds;In brief

THE Millennium Commission has given pound;670,000 for research into ways of improving the quality of religious education for children with special needs. The award is to the Farmington Institute at Harris Manchester College, Oxford, which specialises in RE. The study will involve 105 teachers over three years. Teachers will be seconded to a university for a term, half-term or for school-based work.
