(Photograph) - EDUCATION Secretary Estelle Morris’s call for comprehensivesto be replaced by specialist colleges cuts no ice with headteacher Trisha Jaffe.

Ms Morris is under fire after claiming this week that there are some schools she “would not touch with a barge-pole”. She wants to create a hierarchy of specialist secondaries.

But Ms Jaffe, head of England’s first purpose-built comprehensive, Kidbrooke, in Greenwich, London, said: “Many ‘one size fits all’ schools are doing a very good job.”
