International artists participating in New Territories 2003, Scotland’s international festival of live arts (running in Glasgow and Edinburgh now until March 15) are also working with local artists and students in the first New Territories winter school.
Places are still available on part 4 of the programme. A two-week international choreographic lab with New York-based artists Sara Pearson and Patrik Widrig, in a collaboration with Edinburgh’s Dance Base, is on offer from March 3-15.
In daily assignments, solo artists, duets and groups will explore communication through music, words, objects, costumes and environments.
Afternoon feedback sessions will allow participants to perform and see the assignments. An informal performance will take place on March 15.
