The Association for Astronomy Education has compiled a list of professional astronomers and the subjects of talks they are willing to give free of charge in schools in the London area. While most are aimed at A-level students, several are for any age.

Topics include: the Hubble view of the universe, Big Bang cosmology, black holes, solar eclipses, space travel, extraterrestrial life, and death of a comet. Many speakers will also talk about general astronomy to younger children or offer advice on degree courses and astronomy-related careers.

Participating institutions are: University College London, Queen Mary and Westfield College, and Imperial College. Details: Association for Astronomy Education, co The Royal Astronomical Society, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London W1V ONL.
