School: Greyfriars RC Primary, St Andrews, head Kathleen McConnochie.

What was the best arts company to visit your school in the past year? The Peruvian Pan Pipers.

What did they do? They introduced themselves to the whole school, talked about the land they came from and then performed - the Peruvian music and songs held the children enthralled.

What did the visit cost? pound;50.

What was so good about them? They were different. Also, their interaction with our special needs children. Everyone moans and groans about paperwork, but this kind of thing, ponchos, hats and all, makes it all worthwhile.

Was it relevant to the curriculum? Totally: music, movement, ethnic studies.
