THE second privately-managed state secondary school in the country opened this week. Kings International college in Camberley, Surrey is the second school managed by educational foundation 3E’s, a non-profit-making branch of the pioneering Kingshurst city technology college in Solihull. It opened Kings Manor School in Guildford in September 2000.

Kings International was formerly called France Hill. Pupils will take the International Baccalaureate diploma instead of A-levels. They will also have an innovative school day with staggered brunch and lunch breaks.
