(Photograph) - Pupils from the Priory school in Birmingham were treated to a visit from the Focus on Food cooking bus this week.

The huge mobile kitchen, sponsored by Waitrose supermarkets, travels the country on a mission to inspire children to make, and eat, healthy food.

Youngsters at the prep school won their visit in a TES competition for mouth-watering recipes to promote the message that everyone should eat five portions of fruit and vegetables a day.

The winning entries, from Year 2 and Year 4 pupils, included Catherine Wainwright’s kiwi snow - which she described as “healthy and cool” - and Benjamin Lennon’s cranberry fruit salad - “no processed sugar but still very yummy.” To apply for a cooking bus visit go to www.waitrose.comfocusonfood
