Brighton and Hove Council will close Marina High School, which has been under special measures for the past two years, before re-opening it as a new school under the Government's "fresh start" procedure in September. Only three of the 46 teaching staff have been guaranteed posts at the new-look school. The rest must compete with external applicants. Those who fail will be made redundant.
