Staff at Fountain primary in Leeds are striking this week after being hit by 10 compulsory redundancies. The school was formed only two years ago, after the merger of two juniors and one infant school, but predicted pupil numbers have not materialised. The 17-teacher school will lose the equivalent of four-and-a-half full-time teachers.
