(Photograph) - There is a strong educational presence among the membership of Bord Gaidhlig na h-Alba, the new development agency for the language chaired by Duncan Ferguson, rector of Plockton High. The board will include Boyd Robertson, senior lecturer in Gaelic at Strathclyde University; Rosemary Ward, education quality improvement officer in Argyll and Bute; Agnes Rennie, a consultant and school board chair from Lewis; and Arthur Cormack, director of the Gaelic Feis movement. The other appointee is the youngest ever member of a non-governmental public body in Scotland - Ceit Anna MacLeod, aged 19, a law student at Edinburgh University (above).
