JANE Kershaw was the first teacher to be struck off when she was banned from the classroom for two years after being found drinking vodka and Lilt at Merley first school, Wimborne, Dorset, where she was deputy head.
JOHN COLE, a maths and religious studies teacher at the Grange school, Shrewsbury, was banned for two years after swearing at pupils and trying to block performance-related pay rises.
MARK LAMB, a business studies teacher at St Peter’s school, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, received a two-year suspension after admitting altering pupils’ GCSE coursework. He will be re-instated automatically to the register after two years.
