TriTec, part of Sheffield’s Department of Employment and Economic Development, has launched a new European Exchange scheme, supported by Sheffield Training and Enterprise Council, in which British and French students work together to develop training materials for NVQs in France.

Participants aged 18-25, who have been unemployed for at least six months, will improve their career prospects by means of a French refresher course and intensive information technology training leading to a NVQ level II. The next course begins in September and students must be free to spend up to one month in France. Details and application forms: Cynthia McLain, TriTec, Thomas Street, Sheffield S1 2LE, tel: 01142 750581.
