Students ignorant about work

SEVEN out of 10 university students think work experience would give them a better idea of what to do after graduation but only half have done it. A survey of 1,000 students from 45 universities for the Careers Research and Advisory Centre also suggests great optimism among undergraduates: 86 per cent expected to get a first or upper-second class degree; the actual share getting good degrees last year was 60 per cent.
