More than 40,000 young people will receive extra study support thanks to an additional Pounds 180,000 investment in the Prince’s TrustBritish Telecom out-of-hours education programme.

The trust and British Telecom will make awards of Pounds 1,000 to 181 UK schools and youth organisations, mainly in disadvantaged areas, to help set up new study support centres or run existing ones. The centres provide “a secure, stimulating environment” where pupils can receive help at lunchtimes, evenings, weekends and during the holidays.
