- Pupils at Crudie Primary in Aberdeenshire have celebrated “all things fishy” as part of their “Story of Fish” partnership with Scottish fish processing firm Macrae Foods. This has included cooking lessons for parents and pupils, led by Macrae’s product development chef, and focusing on the benefits of eating fish and raising funds. www.sfdf.org.uk

- Glasgow Science Centre has launched a Young Chefs of the Future competition for children in P4-5 and P6-7. In March, celebrity chef James Martin will host “A Taste of Science Dinner” at the centre, so it is looking for young chefs to plan and cook a two-course menu for their favourite scientist (alive or historic). http:tinyurl.comctxvzy2.
