Banish bullying

- Maddiston Primary in Falkirk has won the ICT, science and technology award in its local authority’s Learning to Achieve Awards this year with a project on cyber-bullying and internet safety led by principal teacher Stacey Collier-West. She reviewed planning and delivery of the topic for P4-7 pupils and helped develop resources for P7 teachers.

- The French Digital Kitchen at Newcastle University is the latest project to use technology in a “situated language learning environment”. “Hidden” digital sensors have been developed and inserted in or attached to pieces of equipment or ingredients. The sensors then give feedback in either French or English on pupil’s progress in cooking andor French language.
