What do you enjoy most about your job?

Meeting teachers and pupils.

What do people not know about your job that they should?

That they can contact me and the rest of the learning team whenever they want ideas. We’ve seen lots of great practice and love sharing it.

Why did you start subscribing?

TESS is vital to keep up with developments in Scotland.

What else do you read regularly?

Resource magazine and Bev Humphrey’s blog (@LibWith Attitude).

Who would you like to see writing in TESS?

The Lyceum Theatre’s education team, on creativity.

What would you be excited to see on the front page?

A feature on contemporary children’s literature.

What do you see as the big issue for Scottish education?

Systematic sharing of great practice, and getting class sizes down.
