Where do you live?

West end of Glasgow.

What do you do?

Head of biology in an independent school.

How long have you subscribed?

So long I remember having to wash my hands after reading it.

Why did you start?

The gossip, keeping up to date, professional development, jobs etc.

Who reads your copy?

Just me - occasionally my wife reads the morsels which I find funny or irritating.

What do you read first?

Scan through the magazine, usually when cooking, making a mental note of what I’ll read later. I only read the parts which grab my interest.

What should there be more of in TESS?

Summary of independent, evidence-based research that underpins decisions in Scottish education.

What’s the best thing we have done?

Keeping the editorial dispassionate and critical. Changing from paper to magazine.
