SUMMER months should be used for mini and touch rugby to allow girls and boys to hone handling and running skills, the inquiry team recommends.

It also wants teacher training reviewed to ensure more physical education staff have a team sports background.

The number of development officers, currently 18, should be expanded to at least 30 to meet specific needs in the Highlands and Islands and the north east.
