‘Supply staff poorly briefed’

Schools are to blame for the failings of supply teachers because they do not provide them with enough information, according to a new report.

The study by Mirandanet, education consultants, and Select Education, a supply teacher agency, concluded from focus groups that schools often fail to brief supply staff adequately, and change without warning the lessons they are expected to take.
