Craigmount High pupil Louise Pate was the outstanding Scottish swimmer at the Speedo Schools International in County Wexford, Ireland. The 14-year-old won the 100 metres butterfly race in 1 minute 4.44 seconds, which was just outside the 16-year-old Scottish junior record.
Scotland finished second to England, ahead of Ireland and Wales.
