The British Schools’ Table Tennis Championships have been put back a week until June 30 due to problems with the venue in the Isle of Man.

The change means that Scotland’s second leading junior player, Katie Morton of Dumfries, has had to withdraw due to family holidys. Her absence means Scotland will be without an Under-16 girls’ team at the tournament. It is too late to find a replacement for the event.

Scotland will be sending four teams to the European Youth Championships in Bratislava, in Slovakia, on July 6-12.
