Entry forms for the Scottish National Primary Schools Table Tennis Championships can now be obtained from the Table Tennis Scotland offices in Edinburgh (telephone Ralph Knowles on 0131 313 8077).
The championships will be held at Bell’s Sports Centre in Perth on February 23, after which Scotland will select its team of four girls and four boys for the British Primary Schools Championships against teams from England, Wales, Ireland, Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
Boys’ table tennis appears to be booming in Scotland, with 64 attending the first junior ranking tournament of the new year at Meadowmill. Only 15 girls took part.
