Take pupils out on ‘safari’

Children should be taken on out-of-school “safaris” by their teachers every week, according to the influential think-tank Demos. In a study with the Green Alliance, it recommended that schools should increase the number of excursions they organise to get pupils more interested in nature and the curriculum. It suggested geography and mathematics lessons could include visits to airports and funfairs.
