I agree that children need stories that make them think. Nobody could disagree, but how many teachers tap into this thinking? The answer is simple - it is the teachers who are trained in P4C who have the skills to develop their students’ capacity to think.

Those of us who use P4C have found that not only does it improve the critical thinking skills of the students, but it also improves classroom interaction and encourages a passion for learning. Furthermore, P4C gives students the skills to question what they read.

P4C is not about publishers making money, it is about a methodology that incorporates everything education should be about.
