Follow-up screening tests at a Welsh school where three young children were tested positive for tuberculosis this week will take place in June, it was announced this week. Testing on 150 pupils at Gorseinon infants and junior schools was carried out last week after a teacher, who has been off sick since the end of March, and her three children were found to have the infection. Six children were sent for chest X-rays after testing positive and three of those have since been diagnosed with TB. However, health officials claim the infected pupils are showing no symptoms of the bacterial infection and appear to be well.
