PRIMARY schoolteacher Catherine Brandley was found guilty of common assault, after prodding a pupil in the chest. Crewe magistrates heard that the 51-year-old mother from ongleton, Cheshire, lost her temper with the boy, aged nine, who suffers from attention deficit disorder. She denied the assault and is expected to appeal.
