I once gave up buying The TES because I found a lot of the contents depressing -bad pupil behavour, targets, league tables, Ofsted.
I gave up teaching more than two years ago for various reasons: for example, I had to work as a supply teacher and could not get a full-time post due to my age and the fact that I am on top of the pay scale.
I decided to give it one more shot and apply for full-time posts, so I bought last week’s TES and read the news on markers selling exam tips and the related piece in the comment section.
I now feel that I would not be at all happy being a teacher.
