* Teachers feel isolated and at risk in their classrooms and almost nine out of 10 would welcome an emergency panic button or alarm, research revealed this week, writes Phil Revell.
The survey of more than 300 secondary teachers in England, Scotland and Wales, by security company Radun Controls, found 66 per of women and 41 per cent of men felt unsafe. More than two-thirds of teachers would have to rely on a child to send for help in an emergency.
