Teaching tips on the UN

The UN can be studied in the context of the global community and the "political, economic, environmental, and social implications of this". It also provides a focus for health, poverty, human rights, conflict and resolution. Ask pupils to create an interactive lesson that will introduce the UN to younger pupils, including its history, role, structure and examples of its major achievements and failures. They could also devise quizzes and role-play activities.
