Roger Stewart, education director in Fife, has appointed a new team of five senior managers in a sweeping transformation of the directorate. Ken Greer, moves across from HMI; Bryan Kirkaldy, former principal psychologist, moves internally; Jim Bellshaw, transfers from head of Beath High; Garry Crosbie goes east from East Renfrewshire; and Ian Robertson takes over resources from a similar post in Stirling.

In East Renfrewshire, Maurice McIntyre has been appointed head of school curriculum and policy development. Fiona Morrison is the new head of school policy and provision.
