Temporary exodus

(Photograph) - Some of a party of 50 Montserratian children aged 10-16 arrive at Havana airport, Cuba, to start a holiday. The trip was arranged as a break for the pupils from the stresses of the past six weeks during which their eastern Caribbean island has been hit by a series of eruptions which have virtually destroyed the capital Plymouth and forced repeated evacuations from the British colony.
