Four schools have received “byes” through the first round of the boys’ Scottish Schools Team Tennis Cup, sponsored by Ritchie of Edinburgh. Waid and Edinburgh academies, Merchiston Castle and Hutcheson’s Grammar go straight into the second round draw. The first and second rounds must be played by October 20 before a break until next term.

The boys’ first round draw is: Grove Acad v Madras Coll; Dunblane HS v Glenalmond Coll; Nairn Acad v Robert Gordon’s Coll; James Young HS v Linlithgow Acad; George Watson’s Coll v Trinity Acad; Royal High v Stewart’s Melville Coll; Hawick HS v Kelso HS; Belmont Acad v Marr Coll; Lanark GS v High School of Glasgow; Hermitage Acad v Boclair Acad; Glasgow Acad v Jordanhill School; Gryffe HS v Lomond School.
