Terror alert hits Cape Town trip

A group of teachers were among those caught up in last week’s airport terror alert, causing them to miss out on a trip to South Africa.

Nine teachers were due to spend a week studying social inclusion in Cape Town on a visit arranged by the League for the Exchange of Commonwealth Teachers. Organisers hope to rearrange the visit for the team, including Emma Hughes, who starts at St John the Evangelist primary school in Carterton, near Oxford this September.
