100 schools failed to supply teacher assessment figures

28th February 1997 at 00:00
* A total of 1,100 schools failed to supply teacher assessment figures for the primary league tables, to be published by the Department for Education and Employment next month. The department said test scores are unavailable for fewer than 20 schools. This is despite a decision by the National Association of Head Teachers to recommend heads not to pass on results.

The TES will publish the most comprehensive tables on March 14, in a special 56-page supplement.
