On for a ride

Britain's first astronaut, Helen Sharman, will be giving interactive space-based lectures at Alton Towers, Staffordshire, as part of the "Passport to Science" events organised for key stage 3 to 4 pupils during national science week, March 16-20. Students will also be able to study science topics by relating them to popular rides. A teachers' guide and worksheets containing questions on speed, energy and forces will be provided.
