The president of the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust was arrested and bailed this week in connection with the "cash-for-honours" inquiry.

Lord Levy, Tony Blair's chief fundraiser, envoy to the Middle East and tennis partner, has denied any wrong-doing. Police are investigating allegations that peerages have been offered in exchange for money, loans or sponsorship of academies.
