Academy strike over job losses

Teachers at the Quest Academy in Croydon are to go on strike in a row over job losses. NASUWT members are taking industrial action after the school announced it was to make five teachers redundant. The union said this was the first time a strike had ever been called in a Croydon school and it had been prompted by management's failure to consult staff on the proposals.
