Adam Guillain, author of the Bella Balistica stories

11th November 2005 at 00:00
Adam Guillain, author of the Bella Balistica stories for seven-plus ("Go, Bella! We want more of her," said our review in Teacher magazine, June 3, 2005), has secured the most comfortable bolthole in children's publishing.

As the new writer in residence for the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre, Adam (pictured) moves in this month to a cosy flat over the museum gateway in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire. During his six-month posting he will focus on work with reluctant readers at key stages 2 and 3, setting up projects with Wycombe Wanderers and Aylesbury United football clubs, running storytelling workshops at Buckinghamshire libraries and talking to adult audiences. Oh, and writing another novel.
