Addition to the club

23rd September 2005 at 01:00
Out-of-school maths clubs can be inspiring for both children and adults. Sum-it! is a valuable compendium of advice on how to set up a club and keep it going. The suggestions are rooted in school reality, but they also extend into the wider community. The booklet shows how teachers can use clubs to experiment with innovative, enjoyable and non-threatening ideas, involving pupils with everything from dice and pencils to skipping ropes and treasure hunts. There are opportunities for sharing expertise and resources within a wider network of Sum-it! clubs. For a resource pack: Tel: 020 8709 9900 Email: etresources@continyou.org.uk
