Admissions warning

The crisis in university admissions will escalate next year unless more places and funding are made available, a new report says. Thousands of teenagers who did not get the chance to start a degree this year are expected to reapply for 2010 along with next year's A-level students. Think tank the Institute for Public Policy Research says the Government risks "repeating this year's mistakes" in 2010.
