Airing sex differences

5th March 2004 at 00:00
Though March 8 is celebrated as International Women's Day, the issues it highlights can be dealt with throughout the year. Does Sex Make a Difference? is a resource covering four central topics - career choices, equal pay, the role of women in public life and domestic violence. There are up-to-date statistics and telling case studies, presented straightforwardly and free from ideological interpretation. Lesson plans invite students - boys as well as girls - to question stereotypes, learn through role play, discuss ways in which policy can change and sharpen their arguments.
