Alcohol takes its toll on girls

The number of girls admitted to hospital with mental problems caused by alcohol is increasing. In 19967 admission rates in under-14s were 18.7 per 100,000 of the population per year. But by 20023 this had increased by 24 per cent, to 23.2 admissions per 100,000.
