All singing, all dancing

26th August 2005 at 01:00
It was with some surprise that we received information that The TESS would be taking part in this year's Edinburgh Festival cavalcade. We were, of course, aware that we are celebrating 40 years in the service of Scottish education this session, but we had not realised we were going quite that far.

We were further puzzled when the notice indicated that we were inviting dancers to join us in the procession and had been running dance classes throughout June.

All was clarified, however, when it eventually dawned on us that we were looking at a message from The Edinburgh Samba School. We must keep a closer eye on these exotic newcomers.
