Ancient history talks

Jim Knight, the schools minister, has agreed to discuss the concerns of MPs campaigning against the scrapping of Britain's only ancient history A-level.

In a House of Commons adjournment debate on the issue, Mr Knight said he would ensure that the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority was also involved in the discussions.
