HAVING taught for 30 years I could not agree more with Chris Woodhead on what constitutes quality teaching. It reminded me of a rather succinct summary made by Edward de Bono when describing two categories of personality: "doers" and "describers".

Doers like simplcity because simplicity means effectiveness.Describers are horrified by simplicity and only exercise their egos by being negative and pseudo-clever. To be positive about simplicity requires a great deal more talent.
