Andy Henderson, the rugby development officer for Dundee, is hoping a new women's team based at the Panmure club will attract girls interested in the sport. "This is a great opportunity for any girls who have an interest in rugby, whether they have played before or are newcomers," says Mr Henderson.

The team at Dundee university is restricted to its students.

However, they can join other teams, so it was felt that a new team should be set up to develop the women's game in the Tayside area, Mr Henderson explains.
